The Hyperviolin, as seen in performance above by Ani Kavafian and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra (rehearsal session for debut, September 1993). Also available are a closeup of Ani playing in this session and another view of Ani and the violin bow. The Hyperviolin sensors, as described in a Computer Music Journal article by Joe Paradiso and Neil Gershenfeld (see below), measure the position, placement, and pressure of the bow, without requiring a wired bow connection.
